Recovery Solutions
Life Camps
These short term camps are conducted for a duration of 3 to 10 days and are intended to help an individual break the cycle of addiction in their lives.
Once the cycle of addiction is broken the individual has two choices to continue in the path of recovery. Depending on the severity of their addiction and the length of years they have been an addict, they would need to choose the Life Challenge in-patient program (Residential Recovery Homes) or out-patient program (Life Fellowship Groups) to continue their recovery process.
Residential Recovery Homes
The group homes run inside a closed facility with limited access to the outside world, enabling the residents to completely focus on their recovery without external distractions. The centers follow a closely monitored daily schedule that includes prescribed activities to help restore a person socially, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
The program addresses the key elements of recovery through personalized self-paced curriculum, counseling, group therapy, spiritual mentoring, personal hygiene, responsibility development, physical development, exercise and interpersonal social skills. The program length is for a period of 12 months, after which residents may continue a 6 month internship, if they choose to continue as a staff in the program.
Life Fellowship Groups
These weekly groups offer teaching and support to build individuals who are on the path of recovery. They address the main challenges in addiction and takes the participant systematically through the steps of recovery.
Hope & Support
Women’s Support
Women from homes of addiction face abuse and trauma at different levels. Additionally the addiction situation within the home leaves the family depleted and in poverty. Through weekly fellowship, counseling and life skill training , women receive spiritual encouragement to stay strong and skills that enable them to provide for their families in some way.
Children’s Mission
Children are the innocent victims of addiction. The goal of the Children’s mission is to provide love, hope and mentorship to children facing the dangers of addiction. This is done through their involvement in various clubs. The Life Clubs strive to provide a strong spiritual foundation. Life Camps offer additional mentorship that will help them to make right choices in their life and impact their future positively. Education centers offer tuitions and homework help to encourage the children in their education. Sports clubs for youth are like an anti-drug that keeps them focused on something that they are passionate about.
Residential Life School
Manipur borders Myanmar and the Golden triangle, which is world’s second largest illicit opium producing region. The easy availability of opium has resulted in an extremely high rate of Drug addiction & HIV in the region. Manipur has the one of the world’s highest prevalence of HIV among injection drug users. Due to this there are many families with HIV widows and children.
Life Challenge opened Life School to provide love, hope and education to children from such homes. The children stay in the homes in a safe and loving environment and receive free education.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
